Days after giving birth, Raquel "Rocki" Hein developed an infection that led to the discovery of endocarditis, an inflammation in her heart. Only weeks into motherhood, Rocki’s heart valve had deteriorated; she was experiencing congestive heart failure and needed heart surgery.
