Joe Middleton 🏴 I think it’s always important to remember: 1) The UN Charter (Article 1(2)): recognizes the right of peoples to self-determination. 2) The Claim of Right for Scotland (1989): affirmed that the people of Scotland are sovereign. 3) Fuck Starmer
I truly love all my fellow Scots… though I confess, Anas Sarwar tests that theory…
It’s pretty clear now that the incessant Scottish Labour and Anas Sarwar rhetoric around the “£1 billion underspend” is just pre-spin, laying groundwork ahead of UK Gov tax hikes. This isn’t about SNP “mismanagement”, it’s about deflecting from what’s coming. Sleazy politics.
Andy Robertson’s performance tonight had me thinking. It’s not often over the years you can immediately tell a player’s class, on very first sight. My top 5 Dundee United FC (80’s aside): Gordon Petric, Eric Pedersen, Siggi Johnson, Stuart Armstrong, Andy Robertson…
The most depressing thing isn’t Westminster, it’s fellow Scots with platforms, like, Andrew Neil , who talk down Scotland as though we’re fundamentally incapable. Debate independence all you want, but stop telling a nation to doubt itself.
Did Rachel Reeves see a chance to help Sarwar in next year’s Scot elections? As OBR’s stance changed, Labour stuck to theirs, as they were committed to the political advantage they thought it gave them over SNP. The identical labour spam messaging on x after confirms it for me.
This seems like the kind of thing that should be politicised and commented on daily for several weeks, with demands that the health secretary resign and the Government be replaced. Don’t you think Jackie Baillie Anas Sarwar Scottish Labour ?
For anyone who is trying to play down the SNP’s big election win: 🟡 SNP constituency vote share, 2026: 38.2% 🔴 Labour constituency vote share, 2024: 33.7% If the 2024 general election was a Labour landslide, John Swinney’s SNP win was more of a landslide.
