SHS sailing Eagles won 2019 Mass Bay League Division A overall with best season team race record and first place in season end tournament.😀

The spring season MBL Championship was almost completely blown out with winds from 15 to 22 and gusts over 35 mph. Normally, four fleets sail about 30 races during the two day regatta. This year, only one fleet managed to sail, and it did only three races. Still had some fun.

The 2019 fleet race Mass Bay League championship on the Charles RIver didn't come off due to extraordinary winds, but the Sharon sailing Eagles received their trophies there for best Division A meet record and for winning the Division A team race tourney.

The 2019 spring sailing season ended this past week. The sailors moved the boats along with some sails and other equipment down to the Rec Dept for use in the Summer Programs there. The sailors also set up the Rec Dept sailboat launching dock.

Yesterday was the first day of the spring sailing season. That means setting up docks and prepping boats. Many hands are needed!

The coronavirus permitting, the National Invitational Tournament will be hosted by Sharon on Memorial Day weekend this spring. The Eagles will be competing in the event as well as hosting. Lots of work! Here's a draft of a tee shirt for regatta sailors.
