For the first time since 1957, and after a long 6 years, the annual exit survey required of all US PhDs *WILL* ask voluntary sexual orientation and gender identity questions. Policymakers can now understand and address LGBTQ+ disparities in STEM, for decades to come 🏳️‍🌈
