J'Ouvert marks the start of Carnival, with roots in Trinidad & Tobago and the Caribbean. Originating from the French 'jour ouvert' (daybreak), this predawn fest is a symbol of freedom. Brooklyn continues the tradition with music, dance, and art. #jouvert #laborday #independence
