On Monday afternoon, Russell Webber told PPOB he is drafting a “phase two” HB 484 bill for the 2021 session. The 2020 KLC initiative creates an independent CERS Board of Trustees. The 2021 bill will complete the separate CERS statutory structure. klccitylimit.com/news/2020/12/c…
The House Local Gov Cmte passed HB 9, sending the KLC initiative to the full House. Russell Webber & KLC Dir of Public Affairs Bryanna L. Carroll explained that the bill is the promised follow to last year’s #freeCERS measure. HB 9 provides separate statutory structures for CERS & KRS.
