My favourite US actor introduced 'He loves and She loves' in Funny Face (1957), yesterday I heard a recording of it made by my favourite British actress in 1958, between them I don't think I need ever hear anyone else's recordings #perfection #guesswhoImean #imcomparablesoprano

Got my Cadet Forces Medal for 12 years service to the Sea Cadets last night, complete shock until heard my name had absolutely no idea who was being awarded it

Over the last month it has been fantastic to see two Cadet Forces Medals awarded to Adult Volunteers from the Unit. This award recognises 12 years of service as an Adult Volunteer in the Cadet Forces. #seacadets #seacadetsuk #cadetforcesmedal #Cambridge

The novelty of watching My Fair Lady and when it comes to Eliza's singing which was dubbed anyway instead listening to the original Broadway cast recording, must have been so wonderful having the luck of seeing Julie Andrews as Eliza whether on Broadway or in London or both

In the same fashion as seeing Ginger Rogers on Broadway in Girl Crazy or Fred and Adele Astaire on Broadway or London over a century ago in the case of their Stop Flirting/For Goodness Sake

Now I understand why on one occasion with some of these symptoms 111 sent me to A&E fortunately it turned out to be double tonsillitis but was pretty scary at the time

Had not realised that Dame Julie Andrews won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a motion picture - Musical or Comedy two years in a row, #favouritebritishactress

Watching snippets of the original Broadway production of Camelot starring Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, it was after seeing this that Walt Disney offered Dame Julie Andrews the part of Mary Poppins 💕

About to see Top Hat on stage for the first time since Tokyo in October 2015 and nearly 14 years since I saw it the first time, hopefully this latest revival will be a nice way to bring the number of times have seen the show to 60

Back at Cambridge station exactly 14 hours after leaving it this morning, spur of the moment trip to Southampton but was worth it!

Great listening to the differences between the original Broadway cast recording of My Fair Lady and the original London cast recording of the same, apart from them being recorded in different "sound" on various tracks you can clearly tell which recording is which
