I learned this week that SABR-COMET patient #1 recently passed away, more than 12 years after enrollment, with no recurrence since his original SABR. We initially treated him for a left adrenal met. It’s an interesting story… ⬇️⬇️⬇️

#radonc PGY2’s: these 1st few weeks can be overwhelming! IMO now is the time to focus on the basics aka WASP: *Workup *Anatomy *Staging *Planning

This a very important contribution & a valuable example of how to assess reproducibility in a scientific field. This sort of effort should take place in every scientific field of study.

Something that is prob not known to PIs outside the US: we have to cover our salaries from grants. At med schools, usually 50-99% of it. Even teaching positions only cover 9 months salary. So you need to find ~$100-200k/year JUST for your own salary. Thus needing multiple grants.
