As the number of coronavirus cases in Wales continues to fall, we are able to bring forward some changes to the rules. From Saturday, any 6 people will be able to meet up outdoors. I can also confirm tonight that outside hospitality will be able to reopen safely from 26 April.

You might have had your vaccine, but others haven't. Vaccines protect us from serious disease, but there's still a chance we could catch and spread coronavirus to people who aren't protected. Keep following the rules to protect others from coronavirus.

Thanks to a fantastic team effort across Wales, coronavirus cases remain low within our communities. We now have headroom to continue our step-by-step approach to relaxing restrictions, as well as bring forward some planned relaxations. More details in the thread below.

There are now 41 cases in Wales of the so-called India coronavirus variant. This new strain variant could be more transmissible than the Kent variant, which is the dominant form of the virus in the UK. We’re closely monitoring the situation and all cases are being investigated.

The graph below shows the remarkable progress of our vaccination programme. We’ve hit another milestone today, with 50% of adults under 30 now having received their 1st dose of a vaccine. Diolch o galon to our amazing vaccinators for everything they’re doing to keep us safe.

WORDS FAIL ME ! Spray painted graffiti on the, to many of us, iconic rocks along Striding Edge. This is close to the Chimney or Bad Step. I think that our followers will share my outrage - but can anyone explain how this is remotely socially or environmentally acceptable? Jon

I visited @SomertonPrimary yesterday, an Eco School in Newport. 🌲 It was fantastic to meet some of the Eco Committee at the school to discuss how climate change has affected their lives, and to listen to their ideas. 🟢 #KeepWalesTidy Eco-Schools Wales gov.wales/chief-medical-…
