Today, the EU in South Sudan & IOM - UN Migration 🇺🇳 launched the Catalysing Durable Solutions Program. It will provide long-term support for people displaced by conflict & climate shocks, & host communities in Yei & Rubkona Counties. Both county commissioners attended the signing ceremony.

"By working closely with local authorities, we aim to strengthen their capacity to manage displacement & prepare for climate-related shocks. Through this program, we are creating conditions for people to build a future," said Ambassador Pelle Enarsson at the launch today.

"Durable solutions require practical investments in land systems, urban planning & livelihoods. With the support of the EU, we are helping communities to rebuild in ways that reduce future risks & strengthen long-term stability," said Vijaya Souri, IOM's Chief of Mission.

Marking 4 years since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, EU in South Sudan yesterday screened #PorcelainWar. Reflections on the human costs of war & conflicts followed. War is the worst thing that can happen to humans & disrupts everything. Dialogue, not war is the answer to conflicts.
