On the 2nd of May the PhD Student, Francesca Tomatis, took part in the VII Symposium of the Portuguese Glial Network (Portuguese Glial Network - Rede Glial Portuguesa), organized as a side event of the Sonya Everidge Regional Meeting.

Our investigators participated in the 33rd Annual Conference of the European Society for Biomaterials (#ESB2023) that took place between 4-8th of September in📍Davos, Switzerland🇨🇭. Congratulations to the PhD student, Francesca Tomatis, who won the best student oral award. 🎉

What makes cerebral white matter more vulnerable with age? In this mouse study, we show that large and rare venules are bottlenecks for blood flow in the white matter. Deep branches of these venules are constricted with age, leading to reduced blood flow. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
