also, i already suspected this just from the lyrics, but the way this mv made it very, very clear that that it's not so much about attraction to a woman but rather the allure of the feminine. that's crazy and so on brand for him

i feel like the ‘her’ he’s singing about is actually a side of himself. it tempts him to ‘cross the line’, to break the mold. there’s an allure in femininity that he’s drawn to. he’s in line with them, their outfits are the same; no clear distinction. the Gender of it all.

there’s the horror aspect and the medical imagery: him ripping away parts of himself and studying them. dissecting them. is there something wrong? or is this something he can embrace?
