Patrick Roath Jon Chesto In my view, the economic history of downtown can be told by one word: MBTA Failure of “leaders” to invest heavily in MBTA, instead allowing it to crumble over a period of decades. High density of jobs downtown depend on public transit, not cars. MBTA was a gift to Boston.
