I was delighted to be invited to attend a BBQ yesterday by 3rd Shotts Scout Group to celebrate 100 years of Scouting in the town. Many thanks to Mary Lees for allowing me to meet old friends and participate in the celebrations. It brought back great memories for my dad and I.

Councillor MCculloch and I met Councillor Hughes and Mark from GBT at the Getting Better Together Ltd Christmas Light Switch On tonight. Great to see everyone having fantastic fun at the event. Well done to everyone involved.

In Shotts today listening to voters who are dismayed at the poor delivery and arrogance of the UK and Scottish Governments. Not being able to get a GP appointment was one of many concerns. People are looking for change with Scottish Labour.

Early morning call in Salsburgh today for the Breakfast with Santa for local kids. Many thanks to Ann Binks for the invite. Great community spirit and a credit to Ann and the team who worked so hard to make it such a success. Merry Christmas to all involved.

The cast, music and jokes were fantastic at the Henderson Theatre. The best line of the night though was delivered by one of the children in the audience when the ugly sisters took Cinderella’s invite to the ball. “Give that back” went up the cry. A magical night enjoyed by all.
