The government uses my taxes to pay for coal mines. To give tax breaks to billionaires. To pay landlords to keep properties empty. To create pointless middleman job agencies. To build unnecessary submarines Buying lunch for kids might be the only good thing done with my taxes

the school lunch stuff in qld is super interesting because it raises a pretty worrying question, why are so many people who use the school system in poverty in an incredibly wealthy country
