The question whether trees are conscious is related to whether increasing temporal resolution of the information processing substrate makes the subjective now longer or shorter

Very rare to see this level of tayloring nowadays, even on the wealthy. So let's talk about some of the reasons why it's great. 🧵 1!/n!

If you think concepts like dark matter, dark energy, extra dimensions or strings sound absurd and that nature couldn’t possibly be that weird, you haven’t really paid attention to Quantum Mechanics

Today might have seen the biggest physics discovery of my lifetime. I don't think people fully grasp the implications of an ambient temperature / pressure superconductor. Here's how it could totally change our lives.

Last night the Las Vegas sphere was used to simulate a quantum computer. The fidelity was amazing, but scaling beyond one qubit will be tough 😣

Curious what a quantum algorithm can do to solve a suduko puzzle. There are so many iterations that can exist at once, where we try to converge to one solution, I wonder how a superposition of states can be utilized to solve a suduko problem efficiently
