Excellent exchange today with H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Taha Mustafa of #Yemen . I updated on WFP’s continued efforts to counter food insecurity & targeting of the most vulnerable Yemenis w/ food assistance, in line w/ our principled & needs-based approach.

Very pleased to host my colleague Corinne Fleischer here in Brussels & meeting H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Al-Sahlawi of the #UAE today. We discussed the importance of partnering together on addressing food security in the Middle East.

At last week's #GlobalGateway event on #Education , World Food Programme's Carmen Burbano highlighted the impact of #SchoolMeals on the education sector worldwide, and how political & financial support from the #EU has helped ensure millions of children worldwide can now receive school meals.

At the SOM for #Ukraine in Brussels. The message is clear: the humanitarian situation is concerning & needs attention + recovery efforts in parallel. Both need funding.

Localisation is core to World Food Programme's work. We will save lives & help restore local systems as long as needed.

Overcoming the challenges in Sudan requires collective action. It's time for the international community to step up, ensuring unfettered humanitarian access and much-needed funding.

Yesterday’s report from The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification makes clear that famine is imminent in northern Gaza.

Partners like World Food Programme & UNICEF stand ready to scale up our response. With a humanitarian ceasefire and safe, sustained access – together, we can halt famine.

But time is running out.
