Eric Dibami is the first Panthers freshman to record a double-double in a game since Arturo Dean did it on 3/4/23 at Rice. He’s the first with 10+ points and 10+ rebounds since Denver Jones on 12/11/21 at Eastern Michigan.

Ashton Williamson (9) and Thiago Sucatzky (7) are the first set of Panthers teammates with 7+ assists in a game since 11/19/19 (T. Brewer, A. Daye Jr.) Sucatzky is the first freshman with 15 points, 7 assists and 3 steals in a game since Arturo Dean did it on 3/8/23.

Maguire Anderson’s 97-yard punt return TD ties the program record, last accomplished by T.Y. Hilton vs. Florida Atlantic on Nov. 12, 2011. In addition, it marks the longest punt return touchdown in CUSA history.

After their 8-18 performance from three today, FIU Men's Basketball has made 115 threes this season through 13 games. Last season, the Panthers made only 65 through 13 games, and this year’s squad has made six or more in every game this season.

First FIU Men's Basketball roadie in a while and we find ourselves at The Pete, home of Jacksonville State, arena #52 for me. FIU is trying to win a Conference USA road game tonight, something they haven’t done since the end of the 2022-23 season.

Corey Stephenson is just the second FIU player since 2004-05 to record 25 points and 12 rebounds in a road game - joining J.C. Otero on 1/30/10 at FAU. With their win at New Mexico State, FIU snapped a 21-game road CUSA losing streak and earned its first-ever win in Las Cruces.

Made it out to a pretty historic facility in E.A. Diddle Arena - also known as “The Hill” (something tells me I’ve seen another arena called that) FIU looking for its first three-game road win streak since 2011.

.FIU Women’s Basketball wins over Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee was the first time FIU beat both teams in the same week since the 2010-11 season.

The FIU Softball program is now 6-0 for the first time since the 2001 season, when FIU started 8-0 and finished with 44 wins.

Hamed Olayinka’s stat line of 11 points, 17 rebounds, 5 blk. & 3 ast. is the first such performance in FIU history. Osasu Osaghae had 19, 18 and 7 with no assists on 11/26/19, and Eulis Baez had a similar line of 28, 15, 5 and 5 on 11/26/02.

With just 36 points allowed vs. Delaware, FIU Women’s Basketball set a new record for the fewest points allowed in a conference regular season game in program history.
