North of the Falkland Islands EEZ is an area called the "Blue Hole" where at times such as these there can be over 430 fishing vessels. Mainly jiggers and trawlers from many differing nations. Patroling this area can be interesting.

Sometimes you forget how lucky we are to be so close to nature when on patrol. Walking up to a pod of Commersons Dolphins playing. #FPVLilibet

We spend long times in our RHIB at sea moving between vessels. It allows us to come so close to so many types of birds including Albatross. And they are so big!!

A different day, a different type of vessel inspection. Today we were over 100nm south of the last few days inspecting Loligo Trawlers.

Well that's the end of the patrol now, back to the office for a while. No rest for the crew though, that's them heading back out on patrol.

Back to office life for a while, this morning was a CCAMLR inspection of a Longliner vessel and then monitoring the fishing vessels in and around our waters.

After a few really nice sunny days stuck in the office, today it's inspection time, and yes it rained, and rained. But good inspection done.

An evening departure from anchor for FPV Lilibet on our next patrol of the Falklands EEZ. Currently over 135 vessels fishing in our zone, so going to be a busy time.

It's been the perfect day for Fisheries Compliance Boardings here in the South Atlantic today. Nothing better than a productive day.
