Understanding and quantifying the global #methane #CH4 budget is important for assessing realistic pathways to mitigate climate change. Atmospheric emissions and concentrations of CH4 continue to increase. CH4 second most important manmade greenhouse gas essd.copernicus.org/articles/12/15…

Alberta would need to cover 154 km2 with solar panels to achieve a net-zero electricity grid by 2035. By comparison, in 2013 the disturbed area from oilsands development was 895 km2. @S_HastingsSimon

One of the biggest nuclear projects in the world is being built in Turkey (Akkuyy) right beside the Mediterranean coastline. 4 huge reactors. Meanwhile scientists tell us the West Antarctic ice sheet melting is irreversible. Go figure.

Don’t believe the lies: CP2 and LNG won’t benefit the local communities, lower energy prices, or reduce emissions. Allowing more LNG exports only makes Big Oil & Gas richer while we pay the price. Take action: stoplng.org #StopCP2 salon.com/2023/11/24/bid…

Manmade #GlobalWarming Melting ice is currently saving us from the worst heating. During melting, ice absorbs as much energy as would be required to heat an equivalent mass of water to 80°C. The temperature of the ice remains constant at 0°C | 32°F during the melting process.
