While it is disappointing that this confidential email exchange has made its way into the media, I remain firm in my position that Glasgow’s citizens should be able to expect integrity & decency from both Councillors and Council Officers.

On behalf of the Glasgow Labour Group, I want to send my deepest condolences to Kenny’s family, friends, and the Glasgow SNP Group Group. I knew Kenny for a long time, and one thing I knew about him was his passion and love for the city he served.

Cllrs across the city should be very, very worried as this ballot draws to a close. If it isn’t an outright mandate for strike action, I’ll be very surprised.

Campaign update 📣 We welcome this response from Minister Graeme Dey and will meet with him ASAP. It’s time for multi year Scottish Government funding for DYW jobs. Nothing is too good for Glasgow’s young workforce.

Sure the result is disappointing but the TU legislation was designed to make it hard for us to take action...we're only a couple of hundred away from making the first threshold and we smashed the 2nd one. Well done to all who voted. Rest up over your Oct wk...we will fight on.

We are delighted to support your fight. We understand the detrimental impact the loss of 10% of the teaching workforce is having and will continue to have on our young people. Enough is enough.

It's important that pupils don't just reach a positive destination, but the positive destination that's right for them. I look forward to more detailed figures on the destinations of pupils with ASN being brought to a future meeting.

“It’s a cut on a cut which will leave gaping wounds and that is before we face the loss of a further 278 teaching posts over years two and three of the budget.” heraldscotland.com/news/24631161.…

It has been said that the Education Bill may be a ‘first step’ towards further reform. I disagree. It is a protection of the system as is. A defence against future reform. As the Education Committee reach the end of taking evidence, here’s why I think MSPs should reject it ⬇️

When we started this crowdfunding for our legal case we worried there was no way we’d get anywhere near what we needed to raise but thank you to everyone who has donated, including the huge support from EIS & its branches. We are now less than 10K from our target!👏

Great to be doing some joint work with Emma Roddick MSP on issues we are both passionate about. Through working together & with Ehlers-Danlos Support UK I hope that formal care pathways will be created for those with EDS/HSD. This is one step closer due to the progression of a petition.
