URGENT: Help @metpolice identify this sick racist earlier today in Romford!

WATCH as this coward physically threatens and subjects a group of women with his vile, horrific, racist and Islamophobic slurs. We stand with them in solidarity!

📢 Internet, please do your thing! 🚨

They were always in my mind. What a pleasure. So many great songs mostly to the same beat. BEING BORING may be the most instantly nostalgic (and retro-celebratory) song I know. bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episod…

RIPLEY is so exquisite, observant and adroit an adaptation, its fascination with foregrounded art reminded me strongly of Joseph Losey’s EVA. The black comedy simmers all the time. It’s my favourite series since BABYLON BERLIN.

Angela Rayner & I both grew up in poverty on council estates. We both left school without any qualifications. We both worked hard against almost insurmountable odds to get where we are today & we both now hold a truth twisting, law breaking government to account.

No wonder

Pleased to rediscover this myself in this moment of Amy refocus. I truly admire the asifkapadia film and see no point in a biopic.

There's a great movie released today BFI and elsewhere: Close Your Eyes, the fourth feature( in 50 years!) by Spanish-Basque maestro Víctor Erice. Read about its fascinating genesis in Sight and Sound magazine

Proud of JR for this cogent, decent and heartfelt analysis of the Jonathan Glazer Oscars controversy. For what it’s worth (not being a Jew myself) I completely agree with him.

The frustrating thing to me about the quote from this article is that the columnist knows, and the Conservatives know, and Labour knows, that Brexit was an awful economic and geopolitical error. This was obvious in my view in 2016 and it’s ten times more obvious now, for the

This is absolute nonsense.

The private health sector barely trains any staff, has hardly any staff that aren’t poached away from NHS work, exploits the public purse, and private outsourcing has been linked to avoidable deaths 🚨🚨🚨

Today an 88-year lease on 47 Station Street, Birmingham comes to an end. It’s a chance to reflect on the remarkable life of this resilient little picture house behind New St Station, arguably the oldest cinema in the UK. What might its next chapter might look like? 1/21

Enjoying the camp and superbly dated BBC Screen 2 adaptation of Anita Brookner’s Hotel du Lac on now. Like a slightly surreal episode of Inspector Morse with no crime or cops. Lots of gauzy soft focus and a top cast.

Saw the signatories and, for some, thought, Et tu? I'm appalled by the bad-faith distortions of Jonathan Glazer's remarks; he doesn't reject Judaism; he doesn't equate massacres in Gaza and in Israel with the Holocaust but finds them all rooted in dehumanization—and he's right...
