I might be in the minority on this, but I feel the whole COVID fiasco has done permanent damage to our ability to interact with one another.

Things I thought I would have as an adult: A thriving career, an impressive 401k, and an amazing social life. What I actually have as an adult: A favorite spatula, crippling anxiety, and a plastic bag filled with plastic bags.

The Left compares their own civilisation with utopia and therefore hates it. The Right compares their own civilisation with barbarism and therefore loves it.

For millennia, jocks ran everything. The nerds finally take over. And what do they do? Develop AI that wipes out their own coding/math/analysis moats. Creating a social premium on interpersonal skills. The irony.

Make it to the Olympics and be the 12th best skater out of 8 billion people in the world, and you win nothing. Be the 12th best plumber in a city of 1 million people, and you are set for life. Life is a game. Be careful which games you play.
