Herr Lewis had the pleasure of working with year 5 in Urmston Primary yesterday learning how to introduce themselves in German and writing postcards home in German about a trip to Germany. Mr Lewis was blown away by the amazing young linguists! Danke schön!

Did you know? In France you're just as likely to have a savoury pancake as a sweet one! They also come from the west of France in Brittany! Why not try making this? You know what Mr Lewis says! Best way to discover a culture is through your stomach! bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/smoked…

”Petit à petit, l'oiseau fait son nid" A French saying meaning literally "little by little the bird makes its nest" Implying with time and effort you will succeed! Also the view from Mr Lewis' window! Oh c'est trop mignon!

Some old English advice for modern times! "Bēðaþ ēowre handa to belīfan hāl" "Wash your hands to stay healthy" Bēðaþ - we get the word bathe from Ēowre - your (eure in German) Belīfen - related to German bleiben - to stay Hāl - whole (implies healthy!)
