growing pains: product’s pretty solid, so no bugs, no feature requests, barely any tickets… unfortunately, that means I have to come up with ideas and figure out how to improve the product on my own now.

i need to hire the branding genius who came up with “vibe coding” i love how super cool it sounds, but it’s just sitting there watching a spinner, waiting for AI to guess right

shameless copycats are everywhere, and i'm not going to play moral police. maybe your incentives or living situation have put you into survival mode. i just think the real shame is that you might be giving up one big leverage to reach people: your unique story as a founder.

Recruitment has become bots vs bots at this point. Naturally, users are loving the new ResumeMaker.Online AI Keyword Matcher. It rewrites your #resume to game the system. But it just shows how broken the whole process is. Makes me wonder where this is all going...

The response to the updates on ResumeMaker.Online reminded me once again: better ≠ more complex. Take something that already works, and deliver it in a simpler package. Assume the user isn’t an expert and automate and decide for them. In B2C, less friction = more value.

unlike how it usually goes in the workplace, the oldies who learned their skills before ai made things easy will have the edge (if they play it smart) younger talents might get tempted to take shortcuts and skip the fundamentals. ageism might actually start to flip

My first UX draft for any product is a single button that does everything the user needs. If that’s not possible, I add the next thing, only if it really earns its place, until it actually works. It’s how I avoid adding a bunch of crap that sounds cool but doesn’t help.

some time ago I got rid of all the tiny edge case bugs that didn’t directly affect MRR but kept triggering support tickets it’s been SO quiet for months that the freed-up time DOES correlate to MRR now, thanks to all the work I could do without distractions Don’t sleep on those

setting fake deadlines is a great way ti get things done say it publicly. no one cares, but your brain falls for it or book a trip and tell yourself “I need to finish before I go!” that pressure + knowing otherwise you’ll forget what your code was even doing, works every time
