It was enlightening to be a part of the Observatory Meeting Under the Counter Backlash Project by Women of Uganda Network to share our insights, perspectives and recommendations for a better, safer internet space and culture in Uganda.

Yesterday our team, Beatrix and That girl were part of the Uganda School of Internet Governance 2025. We are thrilled to have participated and been part of this initiative.

During #UYIGF2025 AI panel session, That girl from FemTech Law Initiative argued that effective legislation must be rooted in local context. She recommended that lawmakers prioritize the development of laws that are directly applicable and relevant to their local communities. #IGF

At #UYIGF2025, Beatrix from FemTech Law Initiative led a workshop on Technology Facilitated Violence (TFV). The session explored the rising challenge of online tech-enabled violence, with a focus on strategies to safeguard online spaces and ensure digital safety for all users. #IGF

The Ministry of ICT&NG Minister Hon.Dr.Chris Baryomunsi, at #UIGF2025, stressed Uganda's need to rapidly advance in technology to support rapid development, emphasizing the importance of the Digital Transformation Road Map in achieving this. #UIGWeek2025 #IGF2025
