When parents ask why teachers would hold on to a students’ identity without sharing, this is why. Some, not all, but some parents don’t actually love their children unconditionally. This thread makes me so proud to work with young people. They’re the best.

Our young people have reached the age where they are survivors of school shootings and are sharing words of comfort on social media to the survivors in Georgia. This isn’t how it should be. This is not normal.
