On the day his sentencing starts, & where @telegraph romanticise the killer as a ‘nice chap’, let us remind you, he is an ex officer who abused his duty of care, murdering an innocent woman who was just walking home. That doesn’t sound very ‘nice’ to us. telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/09/2…

The death of Sarah Everard is horrific. 80 women have been murdered, where the suspect is a male since Sarah was killed. This is not an isolated murder. This is a culture of misogyny entrenched throughout our society and services that are designed to keep us safe.

The Police told me I should have been more vigilant when someone spiked my drink. Thinking of all the Rotherham CSE survivors where the Police told them they were choosing ‘child prostitution’ rather than being raped! The Women’s Equality Party #EnoughIsEnough

"If I had that growing up, to understand that I wasn't alone & that it wasn't my fault, it would have helped me so much." — so proud of our supporter Phoenix Brown for speaking up about her experience of abuse & for showing survivors they are not alone. itv.com/news/calendar/…

This morning we're thinking of Harriet Robson. And of Angel Lynn. And of Yasmin Wafah Chfaiki. And of Kim Dearden. We're still thinking about Ashling Murphy. And Sabina Nessa. Biba Henry and Nicole Smallman and Sarah Everard 💔

If you are a survivor of abuse, do not feel you have to listen to the #MasonGreenwood recording, as below, & take care on @Twitter today. While there are many who understand the seriousness of #DomesticAbuse & rape, we are being tagged into posts by some who minimise & excuse it.
