.Service de police de l'agglomération de Longueuil are investigating after a woman and two children were found dead in a Brossard apartment.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene around 1AM after a fire alarm was triggered. Victims were brought to hospital where a woman and two children were pronounced dead. Police say a man, considered an important witness was stopped at scene and is meeting investigators.

Mohamad Al Ballouz has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the killings of his two children and second-degree murder in connection with his spouse. He made a telephone court appearance from his hospital bed, where he remains detained.
