If a fair pay award can’t be delivered for Lecturers without additional Scottish Government funding; why is it that College Employers Scotland are not very publicly banging down the door for more money? They don’t want us to get a pay rise? They want redundancies? Trying to protect their own egos? 🤷‍♂️

Tomorrow FE in Scotland will grind to a halt due to a national strike day. EISFela lecturers along with UNISON Scotland support staff will walk out and without them, the colleges say they can’t run. Read that again, without THEM, colleges cannot run. 👇🏼

Learning Support Lecturers have, quite literally, been decimated City of Glasgow College since 2016. The last 2, who offer specialist 1:1 study skills, part funded by DSA/SAAS, are at risk of redundancy whilst their specialism is outsourced, privatised, costing the tax payer more £.
