*Le sigh* Texas news stations, you may not use the phrase "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute." I have lived through your summers. That phrase has no power here. Also, it has been lightly sleeting/raining for the past six hours

We just stopped by Alliance Fort Worth airport to see the C-17. The wind over night was so crazy it slid two biz-jets into it. It’s still so windy, I was fighting it to even take this quick video.

I almost wonder if only a single wheel was chocked on the jets. I know every FBO I've been to tends to chock everything, but it's very hard for even a 70mph gust to lift an aircraft that large.

Thoughts of having this happen scare the crap out of me, a lineman made contact while responding to storm damage. Please consider helping if you can. gofund.me/1bb3dc04

Everyone shut up. About everything. This is the only important thing now. Salvation is at hand. Or entertainment. Something. Shut up, I said. Pay attention.

And break... ohshitohshit alphamaxMAXMAX MILPOWER fuckfuckfuck I'm cool I'm cool Speculation that he instinctively rolled to avoid a bird strike and dropped the nose. Roll and pitch are headsnapping. Fucking champ to salvage this, I'd ride RIO anyday.

Slow this to .25x, watch the L aileron after passing the birds- full deflection. Some push while inverted to avoid tucking in, but let the nose down while rolling back. Back in control when the power comes in, avoiding the beach and aiming for max alpha. Incredible control.

The remote coorespondent looks *EXACTLY* like I would expect a Soviet TV reporter to look like. All that is missing is a crew with a monster 80lb copy of an RCA TK-30 studio camera, but with a cable running to an Uzbek carrying four car batteries to power it...

So shuttle pilots were just freight dogs, except they never learned to slip. Look at all that runway behind him, how do you land and not hit the first taxiway?
