Over the decade in venture I have met some truly incredible founders. I also met and worked with founders who had BAD TRAITS traits that led to FAILURE. Here are the worst ones I observed. 👇🧵

One of my best performing portfolio companies now with many millions in ARR: Lost 2 of 3 co-founders. Pivoted the entire product. Lost their Head of Sales. All in one month. Nothing is ever up and to the right. This is a game of who can survive the longest. 💪🏼

I see this all the time - keep going

I see VC getting a lot of flack because they want companies to grow and return 10-100x. That is their business model. If you don't want to grow at that rate, don't raise from VCs. There are other types of investors and funding sources.
