Can’t believe I’ve been a qualified paramedic for 6 months already!?! Seems like yesterday I was applying for a job 🤔😅🚑

Today I got a Thankyou compliment letter from a lovely patient we spent a lot of time with. It’s the little things that mean a lot 😍 🚑

My ED Golden Rule: You’re only allowed to complain about the ambulance crew bringing the patient if you do precisely zero further investigations/have precisely no further observation time than could be done on scene.

Picked up an extra shift yesterday. Felt like I'd signed up for a day of medical ethics. The pandemic has made me better at having difficult conversations with family members and primary care colleagues. It doesn't make those conversations any less difficult though

During last night’s 14.5hr shift, we saw ONE patient. That’s not because there’s no demand, but because we were stuck at hospital for the entire duration, waiting for bed space. Meanwhile, people are dying waiting for ambulances. What part of this is sustainable Sajid Javid ?
