INNS are species introduced, intentionally or unintentionally, outside of their natural geographic range, causing environmental, social, and economic impacts. Did you know? Quagga mussel is a prolific breeder, females can produce up to 1 million eggs per year! #INNSweek

Bumblebee Conservation Trust I’ve found a bumblebee nest in my lawn which is really nice to see. It survived the mower before I realised it was there. To make sure it doesn’t get mown or accidentally stood on by my 9yr old it’s marked with a red flag 🚩. #MakeSpaceForNature

Have you ever looked at a Bee Orchid properly 🤔? If you have you’ll have seen that each Bee Orchid has a different petal finger print! Next time you see one take the time to have a real look rather than just ticking it off. Wild Orchids UK & Ireland @Britainsorchids The Wildlife Trust for Beds, Cambs & Northants #Orchids

Tonight we had a fascinating talk by Mark Hill all about liverworts & mosses. He gave us an insight to that small world that we all take for granted as we walk on by. Map showing some very good records from the county. BBSBryology
