Volunteers on ground just reported that police are making fun of the families of Aurat March volunteer outside the police station by yelling “apna khana khud garam krlo”. This is how the police is trained in Pakistan. It’s a misogynistic extension of a sexist state.

BREAKING: Along with Dr Farzana Bari and Tahira Abdullah, ICT police have also arrested minors as young as 14. Currently, a total of 35 women are being held without charge at the G-7 police station for trying to march on International Women’s Day.

This country is unbelievable! Sent jets and Troops to Saudi Arabia to protect them, bombed Taliban in Afghanistan, Beat India one-sidedly, doing an eye-to-eye with Israel, hosting US-IRAN talks, and repaying the debt to UAE and other countries! All this happening at once!

Did these people think they’d get table-side seats to discussions to end a war? I flew 21 hours to be here & knew exactly what I was getting into — there’s no news until there’s news; that’s how these things work. This is unfair to Pakistan, which has been a gracious host.
