We are really starting to see the end point. Robots are on site albeit not fitted. The bulk milk tank arrived today. Cubicle beds are installed and mattresses down. Still aiming for an August kickoff but we’re on schedule.

It’s been a pretty big week here at Rosevale farm. The Lely robots are being fitted along with the cosmix feeders. The shed’s really taking shape. Bulk tank is in. All happening ahead of schedule for a startup in early August. Roll on.

Good to see some discussion around this. Our shed is not a new build but converted suckler shed. We can only feed down one side and at one gable end giving us 140 feet of feed space for 106 cubicles.

So. Today we milked cows again for the first time in 15years. 51 arrived in milk from Bellemont Holsteins Coleraine. First milking went smoothly as they are already robot trained. Very happy👍
