“Up and already practicing professor? Honestly I'm surprised to see you up this early.” Dimitri spoke as he would watch her swing her sword, practicing her combat on her lonesome. It was a curious sight, though knowing her he probably shouldn't be all too surprised.

“Then allow me to assist you with that. Having an actual sparring partner may be more beneficial than just training on your own.” He had a small smile on his face as he approached her, picking up a training sword nearby. “Tell me, to what end do you train for professor?”

“So that is your reasoning?” He asked, pondering her answer as he brandished the sword a few feet away from her. “I see. I suppose you are right, there isn't such as thing as being too prepared, especially with them still lurking.”

“To think it had already been five years since that incident, truthfully it feels like a lifetime ago...” Dimitri looked down at the sword, focusing his attention to Byleth as he grew silent, keeping the conversation for later as he would engage her in this training.

A dull thud as the two wooden blades clashed, the slash barely intercepted, her training really starting to show. “Honestly I envy you, I'm glad you weren't here to witness what happened during those five years. I can't bear to think anything bad having happened to you.”

"Any particular reason you chose to wear this outfit? It is definitely something different from your usual, though it still looks good on you nevertheless."

He couldn't help but smile, admiring his former professor as he would shake his head. "Something like that would surely be a waste to put on me. For one I'm not even sure it would fit. Regardless I'm glad you seem to be enjoying it. Likewise I am glad to see that smile."

"You really had this in mind? I'm flattered and slightly concerned... Do you really want me to wear this?" He let out a small grimace as he looked at the outfit. It wouldn't be something he'd wear... But if she was insistent then he would. "I think you'd be able to do it well."

"A trend of wearing these light clothes..."

Begrudgingly he would change, coming back soon enough dressed to match her. "I don't see the appeal in wearing something like this. I'm hardly what you can call a dancer."

"They were already inspired by you, I don't think this really adds much to it. I can hardly imagine anyone being inspired by this look, I can't even dance like you." He let out a small sigh. Despite his hesitance he couldn't help but smile in return seeing her bright expression.

“I mean that professor.” He held her closer, eyes focused, his attention completely undivided now. “Had this been anyone else asking me, I'd refuse. I never really had much interest or aptitude for it... But how can I refuse you professor? I'll be happy to do it with you.”

“In some ways I feel like this is a much more difficult task to do. Still, just like our sparring sessions, I appreciate every opportunity to bond with you professor.” He would try to lead the dance to the best of his ability, one hand on her waist, the other holding her hand.
