MY TAKE: I believe a highly trained, uniformed team of law enforcement professionals to be capable of disarming a knife-wielding teenage girl without ending her life. There are those who believe #makhiabryant’s killing to be justified. I believe it’s unacceptable.

When asked why the officer who shot Ma’Khia Bryant didn’t shoot to disarm her... in the legs or the arm, the deputy police chief spoke about how officers are trained to shoot at large targets not smaller ones. So we go for the kill shot because that’s easier? This is not okay.
