Thanks to @iopsw for organising an excellent Festival of Physics at University of Exeter on Saturday. Great lectures, workshops and opportunities to talk to people about their research. Plenty for pupils to think about! Institute of Physics #FestivalOfPhysics

Astronomy is up and running in school with a session using Stellarium and the The Schools' Observatory website to request our first pictures from the Liverpool telescope. Unfortunately it was a bit too cloudy for observing this time but more next term!

Our new telescope is working well. Thanks to First Light Optics for their advice when buying it. Four moons were visible around Jupiter on Wednesday as well as a crescent moon with earthshine. More practice is needed with photography though! #astronomy #earthshine #jupiter #exeterschooluk
