The Cubs have signed RHP Jace Beck to a minor league contract. The 25 year old Beck stands 6’9” and spent 2019-2025 in the Mets organization, making it up to High-A last year. He posted an ERA of 5.80 but struck out 13.6 batters per 9 innings.

Pierce Coppola was a very fun selection for the Cubs in the '25 draft. A 6-ft-8, 245 lb LHP, the Florida Gators Baseball alum posted a career 15.5 K/9 in college, with 85 strikeouts to 23 walks. Between Coppola and Colton Book, the Cubs added multiple strong collegiate lefties to their farm.
