A documentary of this B-17 crew was made by Major William Wyler in 1943. His daughter Catherine Wyler co-produced a fictionalised version, Memphis Belle, in 1990. #WW2 #HISTORY

I find myself in possession of this lovely mother-of-pearl and alabaster inlaid box that seems to be very clearly from Apple Computer’s extremely early years. Do people know of collectors or experts who might be able to tell me both more about its origin and value?

U.S. Naval Institute If I recall correctly, the CO ordered the aircraft to be stowed beneath decks immediately for preservation. This appears to be it at the Naval Air Museum... one of the few period aircraft to retain it's original VNAF colors.

#OTD in 1975, SVAF Maj. Buang-Ly stole a Cessna O-1 Bird Dog and landed on USS Midway with his wife and 5 children to escape North Vietnamese forces. The Midway's CO ordered $10 million worth of helicopters to be pushed overboard to clear the deck for Buang's landing.

Dr. Phil Metzger Dale Ferrell I’ve baked many tapes, I use a food dehydrator, 24 hours at 135F. 3M 996, also some Ampex 456. Usually 996 sheds the back coat all over the guides and it gets sticky and the tape starts to hop, usually 456 dumps the oxide all over the heads.
