Wonderful weekend engaging w. strong NC leaders. Chatham Econ Dev educated the crowd on recent $9 billion investment just announced in Chatham co. alone. Strong CEO leaders from Duke Energy & VinFast US and their teams enjoyed connecting as we discussed incredible projects ahead!
Celebrate indeed! SilerCityDevelopmentOrg received a 25K Duke Energy Hometown Revitalization grant award recently to help small businesses in the town continue to recover! Building back a strong diverse community is critical!

Helping those in need is always a rewarding experience. So glad my Duke Energy colleagues were on the ground in Moore county today to assist residents with needed supplies like water and towels to take showers at designated shelters! Good always overcomes evil!! Do good!!
Santa has nothing on me this season! Loved dropping off Duke Energy grant awards to North Carolina Central University, @DPSFndtn & SEEDS. A group of employees even dropped off needed food at Cora Food Pantry this week. All these worthy organizations are real community heroes!

Met amazing students at Penn 4-H Center learning leadership skills through team building! Proud Duke Energy & my colleagues Pam Hardy David McNeill & @DerrickRemer funded scholarships to allow 10 students to attend camp this summer. Wyatt from Lee county was among the recipients!
Swinging by Cora Food Pantry was a treat. Duke Energy was delighted to award $25k for capacity building as they re- envision expansion efforts! So pleased to see recent renovations that make the facility welcoming to residents & their kids as they gather needed food supplies!
Looking forward to continued partnerships planned w Chatham County Emergency Management Director Steve Newton. Delighted to see their new facility & utility terrain vehicle purchased with a recent Duke Energy grant. Together we will continue to work during times of restoration!
