Apathy/passivity in learning - biggest problem in classrooms? Kids just waiting to be spoonfed every single lesson, teachers bending over backwards to accommodate every demand, kids not caring at all, teachers blamed for them not caring - some schools accepting status quo.

Researchers at MIT have questioned whether SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, time-bound) actually work. They suggest we might get better outcomes if we make our goals FAST (frequently discussed, ambitious, specific and transparent) not SMART.
