Funded by the EU 🇪🇺 & in collaboration with Ministry of Education and Sports - Uganda, these scholars will pursue advanced degrees in top universities across 15 European countries. 🇪🇺🫶🇺🇬

🎓🇺🇬 Twelve brilliant Ugandans have won the prestigious #ErasmusPlus scholarships for Master's studies across diverse disciplines in Europe. Flagged off by State Minister Dr Chrysostom Muyingo & EU Ambassador Jan Sadek this marks a big step in fostering global education ties.

This morning I was thrilled to be part of the Quarterly Dialogue meeting between the Ministry of Internal Affairs Uganda & CSO leaders chaired by Maj.Gen Kahinda Otafiire. The meeting focused on  the role of civil society in the upcoming elections in Uganda.

Moses Byakagaba Dolly Ajok The training was officially opened by the DCDO, Bernadette Awor who reminded the youth that they are not just leaders of tomorrow, but active changemakers today. She emphasized the importance of discipline, active participation, personal development, and economic empowerment.

Moses Byakagaba Dolly Ajok Patrick Olwor kicked off the training with a session on Understanding Policy & Governance. He broke down Uganda’s governance structure, spotlighting the roles of ministries, National Youth Council Uganda , traditional & religious institutions, NGOs, local govts & how young people can participate

Day 2 has kicked off with a session on Youth Participation in Governance. Mr. Patrick Olwor, the Community Development Officer highlighted the youth’s role in advocacy and accountability, “You’re the ones to follow up and hold leaders accountable through participation” he urged.

The facilitator, Mr. Patrick unpacked Transformational Leadership by emphasizing the power of self-reflection and purpose. Leaders must understand their “why”, their motivation before guiding others. A clear, actionable vision helps teams connect their efforts to a larger goal.

We are thrilled to announce the official launch of the Enhancing Youth Inclusion in Governance and Decision-Making project. The overall objective of the project is to improve youth meaningful participation in key democratic and governance processes. 📆 April 2025 – December 2027

The project seeks to achieve two main outcomes: • Enhanced responsiveness and engagement of duty bearers through strengthened platforms. • Strengthened capacity of youth, youth groups, and organizations to effectively engage and influence decision-making processes.

This project will focus on Strengthening Youth-Led Advocacy & Policy Influence, Leveraging Digital Tools for Civic Engagement, Capacity Building for Sustainable Youth Engagement, Debate and Dialogue as Vehicles for Youth Empowerment. #YouthInclusiveGovernanceUg #Youth4InclusionUg
