So much focus on ‘becoming’ and not enough on ‘being’. It’s so boring to do every single thing in pursuit of some unseen and unknown bright future at the expense of the already beautiful present.

and i fear i don’t really have anything else to do but to adore you, there’s just no way around it. like i was and am still meant to adore you in one form or another. probably a little bit different now, but i still do.

i love how, as we mature, we realize real friendship doesn’t need constant talking. but when we finally reconnect, all the things we've been holding in just comes out. even if we don’t talk often, we still care and feel safe enough to turn to each other when we need someone.
