Air Canada CEO just said the quiet part out loud. He admitted to expecting the federal government to intervene.

Unions should have no trust in capitalists or their governments. The rules are always already stacked against workers. Faith in the system is a big part of the problem.

Air Canada uses profits to line their pockets + set back all parts of our intersectional working class. They sacrifice our rights for more capital. So then: just like we stood with postal workers & care workers, we must be clear in our intent & action now. 3/4

CUPE is right to defy injustice and fight back against an unconstitutional attempt to extinguish the right to strike by workers. But the government forgets—our rights weren’t born from any law! They were won through struggle and defined by oppressed peoples everywhere. 4/4
