In cases of chronic ankle instability (esp. subtalar instab.), MRI can be misleading. In this case, edema along the calcaneofibular lig. was the only finding. The surgical image shows significant instability (thanks to Dr. Martin Jordan!). #mskrad #orthotwitter #radres #radiology
