And our Autumn Art Club were also inspired last term by the work of Frida Kahlo and produced some excellent portraits using a variety of media 🎨🤩

Our Art Club have been busy again this spring revisiting mono printing for an Atlantic animal of their choosing. The children experimented with different media and tools to create different images to make a collage background. Beautiful! 😍🐳

Year 4 had a wonderful time last week at West Road concert hall at a special lunchtime concert for children. There were lots of theme tunes that we recognised, and we were introduced to the instruments of the orchestra through Tchaikovsky's 'Peter and the Wolf.' 🎵🎶

Our Year 5 gardeners have been growing their own salad. Their home-grown cress was available on our salad bar last week! All their seeds are coming along very well. 🌱

It was a double celebration today as we awarded our weekly RESPECT certificates this week alongside our winning Y3 representative in the DEMAT Together Impossible Questions Project led by author Isabel Thomas. Congratulations everyone! 📷

A few highlights from our Sports Day earlier this month. The weather was perfect and the children all participated brilliantly - a real team effort. And the winners were... Wicken House!! 💚💚💚

It was wonderful to be visited yesterday by members of the Needham's Foundation & Ely Allotment & Gardens Association to view how their donations have been put to good use in our courtyard and for pupils' gardening projects. Thank you! 🌿🌈

Many of our Y6 children headed off for their taster day at college today, but only after an inspiring trip to Kettle's Yard, Cambridge, earlier in the week where they produced some wonderful artwork and had a thoroughly enjoyable day🎨
