. @SimplyAYT_ christinalamb Christina has done some of the most important reporting on women and marginalised communities and I don’t condone abuse (especially to family members), but the first tweet read like revisionism & a journalist can not do that when our business is the truth.

I came back onto Twitter because I was so disappointed to see christinalamb not only shirk away from a real apology but because as part of esea.sisters we would like to start meaningful dialogue. Once again we DO NOT condone threats/trolling.

We are not asking for christinalamb to be cancelled. We were asking for a formal printed apology and retraction which we have yet to receive. If she is genuinely aggrieved and “sorry” as her statement says she is she would appeal to her editor at @thesundaytimes

I have no idea what you think of when you see Mee Kuen – we have so little representation in the UK media as it is. But when I look at her, I see my mum. I see my aunties. And I know I’m not the only Asian woman thinking now: “Is my family safe? Am I safe?”
