In today's episode of 'Managers who don't want the smoke,' Nathan Jones is absolutely devastated by the majestic Sol Bamba being subbed into a game at the Riverside.

"If the owner lost all his money they'd be in a bad spot." Cracking insight from the biased frauds that try to present themselves as a league podcast.

Know when to stand still. Clever wrinkle for young forwards by Andraz Sporar, as Sheffield United defenders charge towards their own goal, standing still creates space needed for Sporar to get shot off.

Middlesbrough FC played their first FA Cup game in November of 1883, losing 5-1 to Staveley FC. Staveley went on to beat Sheffield Wednesday and Lockwood Brothers before losing to eventual cup winners Blackburn Rovers in the fourth round.

Left wing Riley McGree coming inside while left back flies past him on overlap. Hayden Coulson is not Ryan Giles and Forss/McNair on the other flank didn't penetrate too much either. On top of losing Giles, McGree may be less productive this season without the same flank threat.

Was personally more excited by the 21 minutes of Sam Silvera than the 90 minutes of Rogers on opening day. Would personally enjoy seeing Silvera, Payero and van den Berg start the cup game.

Millwall thoughts: Watmore will be an excellent signing for them and two good defenders at back. Double sub that saw Emakhu come on with Esse only for one to assist the other six minutes later was a worldie by Gary Rowett, Dutch forward Zian Flemming man of match for me.

Strong opening game from Darragh Lenihan and no suggestion that Dieng is a downgrade on Steffen for me in opener. Fullback a different story.

Injury aside, was pretty telling that Jonny Howson played center back in regards to how Michael Carrick rates Aidan Morris. The American is a replacement, not cover for the excellent but ageing Howson.

Josh Coburn may have been Man of the Match at Elland Road, but would not be surprised to see Delano Burgzorg emerge as the second best center forward option over the course of the season
